If I had to guess, CTS cut off the Ram. Ram then hit the CTS, which made it end up on it's side. The R8 was just chilling on the trailer, but probably wasn't tied down properly. The trailer kept going forward as the truck was slowing, buckling the bed. The R8 moved forward with the trailer.

There is no way that truck suffered that much damage with just the vehicles present. My suspicion is that the Ram rear-ended something else(maybe a flatbed trailer). which caused the pickup to get squashed between the other vehicle and it’s own trailer, the CTS & R8 snapped their straps and went forward, the CTS with enough speed to ramp off the back of the cab & end up landing nose-first and the R8 ending up perched on top of the cab.

All speculation of course.

That was what I was thinking. That truck stopped *hard*. If it had hit a regular car, it would have had enough mass to just punt it down the road.
